With sky as a backdrop…
I will be displaying part 2 of the flower series in the next post. Just to break it up a little , the new 125 cards that have been added to the gallery will show images of a hand, legs and amusement park rides with the sky in the background.
When looking at an image with clear blue skies as it’s backdrop, it really enhances the whole picture and gives it a different feel. It’s also intriguing when clouds are formed in the sky and make an interesting pattern. A cloud is basically a mass of small droplets or crystals but combined with a blue sky, it’s certainly a wonderful image to behold…
Below are some 125 x 125 pixel card samples that have been included in the gallery:
Card 1: Photo of thumb and index finger holding a white floating seed with blue sky in the background.

Card 2: Photograph of people’s legs hanging upside down from an amusement ride with blue sky in the background.

Card 3: Photograph of a ferris wheel with red carriages and blue sky in the background.

See you again soon..

Part 1 series: 125 x 125 Flower images
I absolutely love looking at flowers in the garden or in pictures…and ofcourse, I love having fresh flowers in the house. The new 125 x 125 pixel images will be dedicated to showcase the best from the many floral photographs we have taken so far from a variety of places.

There were so many flower images to choose from, as a result I will publish these images in a two part series. This first part, will display floral and bulb images that were taken at the Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens. This vast and beautiful botanic garden is located in an altitude of over 1000 metres in the upper Blue Mountains in New South Wales (Sydney) Australia. It was opened to the public in 1987 to house over 5000 species of plants from the cooler parts of the world.
The day we visited the Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens it was filled with sunshine. Although the garden is already splendid, the sunshine that basked over it really brought out it’s beauty every angle that you looked at. There is also a nice restaurant that is located within the garden. With the amount of walking that you end up doing, it’s great that you can have a little rest, grab a coffee or a wonderful meal while at the same time being able to admire the expansive and stunning views of the gardens from the restaurant window. It’s certainly worth a visit if you are ever in Sydney.
I’ll let you judge the beauty of the floral images by having a look at some of the new 125 x 125 images below.

Now be warned, as much as I love flowers, I’m certainly not an expert on their names - so advance apologies!

May these flower images inspire you to create a new logo or personalize a new 125 card…Happy flower day!

Free logo creator
According to Wikipedia, the term “Logos” is a significant term used in philosophy, analytical psychology, rhetoric and religion. It can mean to: count, tell, say, or speak.

In modern times with the advent of the internet and websites/blogs, a logo can be used to represent your business, website/blog or something you wish to promote to get the attention of your visitors.
I have seen many free logo creators on line. Some have a lot more font types and colours to choose from. They also allow you to choose from a variety of images and then you can personalize these logo images yourself.
From testing out these other sites, I can see that they serve a certain purpose. However, I found some of them take a little while to load the images and are a little complex to use. I have also noticed that a lot of free logo creator sites only offer a limited number of logo images to choose from. To access more images or have a more personalized logo image a fee is generally attached.
Althought at free125cards, we specialize specifically on 125 x 125 pixel images, we aim to continue to offer this free service and provide our visitors with a wide variety of logo images that they can select from, so they can create their own personalize logo.
Today, I have added 19 new 125 card images entitled ‘Blur‘. Basically, these new logo images were created using a plain background and adding a second layer of swirled designs. The second layer was then lightened and then different filters were applied over each logo image such as brush strokes, blur motion and distortions using the Photoshop application to produce many different effects.
Some examples are shown below, I hope you enjoy these!
Logo image 1: This is a red 125 x 125 pixel image. Blur motion and lighting render filters was applied over this logo image in photoshop to obtain this effect.

Logo image 2: This is a black 125 x 125 pixel image. Blur motion and twirl distortion filters was applied over this logo image in photoshop to obtain this effect.

Logo image 3: This is an orange 125 x 125 pixel image. Blur motion and ripple distortion filters was applied over this logo image in photoshop to obtain this effect.

I’ve also personalized some of the new 125 cards that I’ve recently added. The one in red below, is to support my favourite AFL team (The Sydney Swans), the second personalized card in green just shows the current sentiment of being environmentally aware to help save our planet and the pink card attempts to represent keeping an eye on new fashion trends

Thanks for using our free service…
Lamps and Lights
The new 125 cards that I have just added to the gallery has the theme of Lamps and Lights. Most of these photographs were taken during our holiday trips when we went to Melbourne (Australia), the Fairmont Chateau at Lake Louise (Canada) and at the Waldorf Astoria (NYC).
I didn’t realize that we had such a fascination for lamp and light images until I went through our photographs and found many of them! That’s why I thought it might be nice to create 125 card images for these under this particular theme. There are a total of 20 new 125 x 125 pixel images for you to choose from, some examples are shown below:
Pic 1: This is a photograph of a street lamp that was taken on the streets of Melbourne, Australia. The season was fall/autumn and on this particular day, the clouds in the sky were in perfect unison - it was a great photo moment.

Pic 2: This is a close up photograph of a free standing lamp that was taken at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Canada.

Pic 3: This is a photograph of a lamp taken in one of the rooms at the Waldorf Astoria, NYC.

Enjoy the new 125 images!
